About the company
Hamad Medical Corporation is the primary provider of public and specialized healthcare services in Qatar and one of the leading hospital management systems in the Middle East.
For over four decades, the Corporation has been dedicated to providing the best safe, compassionate, and effective care to all patients. The Corporation manages 12 hospitals, nine of which are specialized, and three general hospitals. It also operates ambulance services, home healthcare services, and long-term care facilities. In January 2016, Hamad Medical Corporation achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first healthcare system in the world to receive International Joint Commission accreditation for all its hospitals under the Academic Medical Center accreditation program. Additionally, the National Ambulance Service, Home Care Services, Stroke Services, and Palliative Care have held this prestigious accreditation since 2011. In response to the growing demand for healthcare services due to rapid population growth, Hamad Medical Corporation announced an ambitious expansion program to increase its capacity across its network of facilities by 2030. This expansion plan included three new hospitals officially opened in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City: Qatar Rehabilitation Center, Day Care Medical Center, and Women's Health and Research Center, along with the establishment of other new healthcare facilities such as Hazm Al-Ebeid General Hospital in Doha's Industrial Area and the Simulation and Vocational Training Center in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City, which will be completed soon. Final touches are also being put on the Emergency and Trauma Center at Hamad General Hospital, set to open in 2019. The new facilities and expanded care services will support and enhance Hamad Medical Corporation's efforts to provide safe, compassionate, and effective healthcare to all patients now and in the future.
