About the company
The Sharjah Museums Authority was established in 2006 as an independent government entity, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council - Ruler of Sharjah,
The Authority manages 16 museums across the emirate, which are distinguished by a vast diversity in their themes, ranging from Islamic arts and culture, archaeology and heritage sciences, to natural sciences and aquariums, as well as the history of the Emirate of Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates.
Our vision is to be a cultural platform that enhances Sharjah's identity locally and globally, contributing to the upbringing of a community aware of the importance of museums as an attractive and enjoyable cultural and educational destination.
Our mission is to continuously elevate the delivery of the highest museum standards for preserving collections and promoting culture and education through our exhibitions and educational and community programs.
