In unification of the efforts made in the field of caring for People of Determination and by the orders of the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan "may God rest his soul," His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State "may God protect him," during his tenure as Crown Prince on April 19, 2004, corresponding to the 29th of Safar in the year 1425 Hijri, issued Law (2) to establish the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, incorporating into it all centers and institutions of humanitarian care and social services for People of Determination, as well as any future entities established in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to achieve humanitarian goals. An Emiri Decree No. (7) of 2014 was issued to reconstitute the Board of Directors of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
