This was accomplished through the acquisition of 51% of 'Legacy Hotels' company by "ICON," the Group's hotel arm. Legacy Hotels is a new joint venture between the Egypt Sub-Fund for Tourism, Real Estate Investment, and Heritage Development, and the Egyptian Company for Tourism and Hotels (EGOTH). The portfolio includes 7 hotels in Egypt: Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan, Mövenpick Resort Aswan, Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor, Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir, Steigenberger Hotel Cecil Alexandria, Marriott Mena House Cairo, and Marriott Omar Khayyam Zamalek, which were previously owned by the Egyptian General Company for Tourism and Hotels 'EGOTH'.
