About the company
The Securities Depository Center was established as a public benefit institution under Securities Law No. (23) of 1997, issued as part of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's direction towards restructuring the capital market. This aims to create a secure and stable investment environment that supports the national economy and attracts investment, and to separate the regulatory role from the executive role in the Jordanian capital market in implementation of the requirements and international standards applied in financial markets. Consequently, three independent institutions were established: the Securities Commission, the Amman Stock Exchange, and the Securities Depository Center, with the Center being subject to the supervision and oversight of the Securities Commission.
