About the company
Al Bayan International School (BIS) opened with its new name and fully renovated campus in the fall of 2017.
The school was originally founded in 1993, under the name Fawzia Sultan International School (FSIS) in honor of Mrs. Fawzia Sultan. FSIS was a non-profit school with an American curriculum dedicated to serving the educational needs of children with learning differences. Being the first of its kind in the Middle East, the school was established to address the challenges of bright and capable children who were not achieving academic success.
Mrs. Sultan was a strong believer in the importance and power of education, and she held the conviction that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their educational potential. As such, the newly renamed BIS serves all students, continuing Mrs. Sultan's legacy. The British International School aims to create a learning environment that meets the individual needs of each student.
