Arope Properties and Liabilities Insurance Company – Egypt (S.A.E.) is the strategic extension of the regional Arope Insurance Group, which began with the establishment of Arope Insurance – Lebanon in 1974, in partnership with BLOM Bank – Lebanon and SCOR-RE. Since then, Arope has firmly established its position as one of the leading companies in the Lebanese insurance sector, supported by a strong record of financial solvency, sound governance, and technical expertise built over decades.
Building on this solid foundation, Arope expanded regionally and established a direct presence in several markets, including the establishment of Arope Insurance – Syria in 2006 and Arope Properties and Liabilities Insurance – Egypt in 2008 as an Egyptian joint-stock company (S.A.E.), in partnership with BLOM Bank – Egypt (formerly), which was later acquired by Arab Banking Corporation – Egypt (BANK ABC-Egypt). This acquisition further strengthened the company’s financial solvency and supported its expansion capabilities.
Arope Properties and Liabilities Insurance – Egypt, operates in accordance with the provisions of the Unified Insurance Law No. 155 of 2024 and is subject to the supervision of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA). The company holds license No. 26/2008 in the register of insurance and reinsurance companies.
