Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR), established in 2006 as the first private mining company in the Kingdom, is the second largest gold producer in Saudi Arabia, with a strong presence across the mineral-rich Arabian Shield. Under the visionary leadership of Chairman Suliman Saleh Al-Othaim, the Company has evolved over more than 40 years of experience in gold and jewelry into a dynamic force in the Kingdom’s mining sector.
SGR’s growth trajectory includes a gold mine, more than two pre-feasibility projects under development, and exploration activities across 25 additional sites, with over 162 exploration license applications under review in Saudi Arabia.
What sets SGR apart is its fully integrated in-house exploration system, comprising a certified laboratory, a complete drilling division (DD & RC), and a geophysics division covering both ground and aerial surveys. This is further complemented by in-house gold refining, manufacturing, jewelry production, and retail operations, giving SGR full control of the entire gold value chain under one roof.
