About the company
At a time when the fields of medicine expanded, evolved, and specialized in assisting reproduction and treating infertility, the need arose to establish a specialized center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for reproductive health care and to keep pace with its developments, which include infertility treatment, in vitro fertilization, and genetic diseases. The idea materialized in 1996, and three clinics and a brief in vitro fertilization laboratory were established by Dr. Hamad Al-Sufyan, a consultant in obstetrics, gynecology, infertility treatment, and in vitro fertilization, and the founder of the center. The idea then evolved through a joint collaboration between Thorya Center and Janin Medical Center under the name FertiClinics.
By 2005, the number of specialized clinics reached six, along with an in vitro fertilization laboratory. In 2006, the move to the current building took place under the name Thorya Medical Center and One-Day Surgery, and Damaa Saudi Pharmacy was established to meet the center's medication needs. A general laboratory for blood and hormone analysis with rapid methods was also set up. In 2015, Thorya Medical Center added one-day surgeries and upgraded the in vitro fertilization laboratory to become one of the best in the Kingdom. Emphasizing continuous education and training, the center established the Damaa Cultural Center and the Research and Continuous Development Committee, which offers training courses for doctors and has culminated in the publication of several research papers in the field of reproductive medicine.
