About the company
Rajhi Steel was established in 1984, with its main headquarters located in Riyadh—the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—when the founder, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi, decided to build this towering industrial edifice in the land of prosperity and growth. The first rebar production lines began operation in 1996 in Riyadh. The rolling lines were commissioned in 2006, and the first expansion of the steel billets plant in Jeddah was inaugurated in 2007. With the growing demand for steel amid a comprehensive industrial and urban renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom for years, Rajhi Steel embarked on establishing the new rolling mill in Jeddah, which commenced operations in the third quarter of 2012, adding a production capacity of one million tons that supplied local markets with their needs for various types of steel in different sizes. Consequently, Rajhi Steel increased its production capacity to over three million tons per year, becoming the preferred company worthy of the trust of generations in industry and construction across the Middle East and North Africa.
