Arab Steel Summit

The Arab Iron and Steel Union is organizing its annual conference, the "16th Arab Steel Summit," on October 29-30, 2023, in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, at the Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski Hotel, under the slogan "Investment Opportunities in the Iron and Steel Industry in Arab Countries." This event holds particular importance given the economic, geopolitical, and climatic changes the world is witnessing and their significant impact on the iron and steel industry both regionally and globally. The iron and steel industry is considered one of the strategic and key industries amid efforts to increase the contribution of the mining and iron and steel sector to the total gross domestic product.

This industry also has a pivotal impact on economic development due to its strong connection with many other high-value-added industries, such as the automotive, shipbuilding, pipeline, oil, and food packaging sectors, as well as water transportation, not to mention the increase in new job opportunities it can provide directly and indirectly.

Concurrently with the conference, the Arab Iron and Steel Union is organizing the "International Iron and Steel Exhibition 2023," which will provide a suitable platform for all stakeholders in the iron and steel sector, as well as modern technologies and technical solutions that help in developing and diversifying the productivity of the iron and steel industry. Additionally, it will serve as an ideal venue for producers to meet with institutions and companies active in the trade of iron and steel and technology providers.
