Human Leadership Conference

At the Humanitarian Leadership Centre, we work on transforming humanitarian leaders and changing how humanitarian organizations and the humanitarian system respond to an increasingly complex humanitarian environment.   The Humanitarian Leadership Centre is an innovative collaboration between Deakin University and Save the Children, combining good humanitarian practice with academic rigor. Our Deakin University-accredited courses are facilitated by recognized leaders in the humanitarian field, providing unparalleled access and insightful perspectives on the real-world challenges facing the sector today.   Our research elevates humanitarian engagement in policy development and serves as a driving force for discussions on how to improve leadership in the humanitarian sector.   Integrity—honesty, fairness, and trustworthiness—is at the core of our work. We envision a world where communities affected by disasters and conflicts achieve social and economic resilience, supported by a humanitarian system characterized by leadership excellence.   Achieving transformative change requires a new way of thinking. We know that changing the humanitarian system is not easy, but we also know that investing in people is the way forward.
