Recently, public-private partnerships have become a fundamental model used throughout the Middle East and North Africa region, having grown significantly across numerous industries, most notably in the energy, infrastructure, healthcare, transportation, and education sectors. Public-private partnership agreements with a total value of $69.6 billion are currently being implemented in the region, with over 155 major contracts for public-private partnership projects expected to be awarded in 2024. As these partnerships involve collaboration between government entities and private sector entities to finance, build, and operate projects, public-private partnerships are now viewed as an effective means to leverage the strengths of both sectors, thereby enhancing efficiency, innovation, and service delivery.
